To your knowledge has anyone ever suggested the death penalty for a corporation?

    Corporations used to get the death penalty quite often in the early decades of the existence of corporations. The “state” created them for a specific period of time and for a specific reason (2 years to build a bridge) and at the end of the time the money would be distributed back to the investors. If the corporation violated their Charter during their existence, the corporation could get the Death Penalty (be dissolved early by the state) if it was deemed a serious enough infraction.

    At least that is what I recall being taught. You mileage may vary.

    Depends on how you want to define “suggested”. In jest? Certainly. Symbolically? Sure. Seriously? Not that I know of.
