"Richard Wolff: Capitalism Was Already a Pandemic Before COVID-19"

Economist Richard Wolff speaks with Status Coup's Jordan Chariton on the growing Coronavirus pandemic and its economic ravage.

"What struck me about it was not the idea of reopening the economy, which I understand, we need an economy to produce goods and services to live, but what blew me away was that the same president who orders the workers into the workplace, did not order the employer to make the workplace safe. It blew my mind. Corporations have a long history, capitalism has a long history, of making workplaces unhealthy and unsafe."

I saw the Trump administrations meeting with businessses on a roundtable and all the safety that they put in place for employees on their return to work after the coronavirus . When you say capitalism has a long history of making workplaces unsafe I do not understand because in Communist/Socialist China they put suicide nets outside the buildings . Be fair .
