The Economic Roundtable with Richard Wolff and Michael Hudson highlights how shifting alliances and power struggles reshape the global landscape. It reminds me of the way Sprunki layers sounds into unexpected harmony — chaos turning into structure, much like global politics trying to find balance. This is a really insightful analysis! It’s frustrating to see how economic power so often dictates political outcomes. The inequality crisis is definitely felt globally. Speaking of frustrating but ultimately rewarding challenges, this reminds me of Geometry Dash. It’s a deceptively simple game that requires precision and persistence to master, kind of like navigating global politics! Dear Professor Richard D Wolff, I have been watching on a YouTube channel your excellent history on economics through the ages, I have a question.

The study of the various forms of economics, capitalism, communism, socialism etc are well documented and investigated.

I understand how capitalism flaws has been well documented. And the failures (the slumps have occurred in the years 1929 and 2008.

These collapses are well documented by you in your article. One thing strikes me in your piece it seems that Karl Marx has not been given the recognition nor the study that should be his due.

It seems the American choice of capitalism as an economic system has been utilised in-spite of its apparent crashes over the eight year cycle.

This is understandable because the United States is committed to capitalism as a system and is loath to discard the system even though there are shocking failures.

These three 1929 and 2008 and one that we are presently in has such a huge impact on the billions of people worldwide and the trillions of dollars at stake.

However the US fear of communism has prevented communism from being studied further in the higher universities faculties.

The top universities do not offer courses in communism. Perhaps it is time that communism be studied in depth because it could be an alternative to the unilateral solo flight of capitalism.

Perhaps it could search for an explanation so that the alternate to capitalism could be found.

The effects of the crash of capitalist economic systems are so fast and the effect on humanity is so large that an alternate must be found.

Lest one of the crashes to come in the near future may be as destructed as a meteor strike.

Considering the billions of people whose lives and livelihoods are at stake.

My email address is [email protected].

Your suggestion on the copse is very interesting but I wonder how it will fair against the capitalist system which has access to huge funding and will no doubt fight for its survival.

It may also have been the cause of the support of the capitalist system for so many decades.
