It is said that Trump voters are richer on the whole than Clinton voters, yet Trump voters are said to be stressed out members of the working class. How does this compute? Are most Democratic voters on or below the poverty line?

My understanding is that the bulk of Trump voters are better off, on average, than Clinton voters but be careful on how you interpret such averages. Clinton had the younger people (generally lower income than older) and the non-white (also generally lower than the white). Many factors shape voting, conscious and unconscious factors; very questionable to look for or find one key factor (even tho many media and academic folks do that automatically).
