It is true that America has encroached on Warsaw pact nations which were no less conquered forcefully by Russia during WWII. It is also true that we always pose a threat to the globe perhaps one of the 3 greatest threats and that WE have turned the 21st century into an economic 3rd world war using finance to the point of starving Afghan, and Yemen children and what we have allowed in Gaza. But to believe that Putin and Kremlin members are ONLY acting to keep NATO off its border when only the US has shown interest in Ukraine and not its NATO members, and that Russia is not interested in retaking eastern Europe forcefully is deceiving and unrealistic. This man has lived in a failed history of Russian military operations and he yearns to be the man who will rectify that for history as its savior before his time grows shorter. We have seen this with other 20th century dictators who we criticize (all the time, despite not all of them having gone this far), which begs the question, how do we justify Vladimir’s actions against civilians anymore than those of our own. We should have guaranteed no US military bases in Ukraine taking away his excuse for action. We (US and Russia) are using Ukraine as a gambling chip in a game of bluff. There are ways to conduct war, and there are overstepped moral boundaries, which is why some of our ancestors once coined the term “Barbarian”.
