How Both Ruling Class Parties Use Taxes to Keep Corporations Wealthy

On The Socialist Program, Richard Wolff offers perspectives on Kamala Harris' tax proposals, emphasizing the need for more significant changes to address inequality in the United States. He highlights the historical roles of taxation in government functions and income distribution. Wolff calls for a reevaluation of the economic system to prevent unequal wealth distribution in the first place, rather than relying on post-distribution corrections through taxation. He criticizes government subsidies to corporations, pointing out how they perpetuate wealth inequality. Finally, the interview underscores the urgency of addressing systemic issues rather than making minor adjustments at the edges to truly address economic inequality.

Sometimes I really feel desperate about what’s going on. Taxes grow higher, tycoons become wealthier and more influential globally, politics becomes the daily agenda of small businesses – where are we heading? I still remember my grandfather owning a small bookmaker’s club across the street. I visited when I turned 22. And now what? Why should I even discuss this global crap? My uncle told me that since I had a few businesses in Europe, I might want to start an iGaming business instead of reviving my legacy bookmaker’s club. He says that online business will attract more customers globally. He also thinks I need to read  https://www.gamingmalta.org/media/soft2bet-continues-to-grow-with-new-office-in-malta/ to help me handle my operations. What would you say to that opportunity? Is online business worthy of consideration?
