MMT Modern Money Theory, its pros and cons. Why and/or why not?

https://youtu.be/Xac2a6jNQJU https://youtu.be/YEyb5A7GNzg For when you can, these videos are lengthy but fortunately not visually artistically, so you can enjoy listening to them while doing something else, if needed. Am I being too skeptical of this concept? Why is the left (as in the real left) falling in love with this, and why is even Trump himself toying with this concept (or perhaps a version of his own)? I feel, though it sounds good to a certain extent even in practice,(I really would rather be living in an economy using this theory than the one we're in); I feel that it seems to me it'd be like a very large Band-Aid, but still a Band-Aid nonetheless to the economy as it stands. I feel that while we are still in a system where surpluses are still having to be generated for the efficiency of profits, MMT or no MMT, collapse after collapse we will see. Is it too utopian to imagine an MMT transition into a Time Banking/Service Exchange Cooperative Economy? Thank you!

I just got done watching your conversation in the link you gave. I admire your effort and thought into this. My issue with karatbars would be the same as anything that’s used as currency. I’m leaning towards a more radical approach which wouldn’t employ currency just from the perspective that I’m tired of a society which turns everyone and everything into a commodity. The nature of the sale/buy transaction is utterly unethical in my individual opinion. I’m hoping a more equitative system will soon start to be utilised more massively, such as time banking. I think soft currency economics and hard currency economics (gold standard) are not the end, but I am certainly open minded and will look into karatbars further. I do hope to see a lot more info on your mention of the zero fuel energy (?) I may have butchered the term there. Thank you Debi!

A SOLUTION EXISTS FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT MASSES MUST COMMIT TO CHANGING THEIR BEHAVIOR AND MINDSET. It is not enough to be awake to the problem if you are not awake and open to the solution. The elite use the Hegelian Dialectic to control both side of the political spectrum, so it is pointless to pick a side unless you choose Libertarianism. PLEASE watch and share this video of how we are trying to start this revolution in our community: https://youtu.be/nmn0SydzIlI. You may learn all about this system at: coalmine2goldmine.com.
